Say what you will about Madonna, the master of reinvention/polarizing publicity seeker/custom-throne connoisseur is one of the most consistent fonts of wild, diva-like tour-demand rumors. Less than two weeks after it was reported that the Grammy winner requires a 200-person entourage, an on-site dry cleaner, 20 international phone lines, and her own personal furniture in each hotel room she occupies during her MDNA tour, a new report alleges that Madonna also employs a personal sterilization team to wipe down her dressing room with crime-scene-like precision when she leaves each location.

Mad Men Inspires U.K. Olympics Uniforms . . . for McDonald’s Staff Members

MAD MEN, Inspire, MC DONALDS, UNIFORMS
Even U.K. McDonald’s employees are getting special treatment in anticipation of this summer’s Olympic Games in London. The restaurant chain hired British fashion designer Wayne Hemingway to update the uniforms of its staff, from unflattering brown polo shirts to arguably even more unflattering polo shirts in mustard and “gherkin”-green shades. In what could be an attempt to make this transformation into sickly condiment-colored tops seem sexier, the chain has announced that the style was inspired by Mad Men. (A quick glance of the promotional photo above reveals a uniform that Megan Draper would not touch, even if she were playing an overworked fast-food employee in an Off Off Broadway production or sadly starring in a McDonald’s commercial produced by Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.) In addition to the aforementioned shirts, male managers will be outfitted in skinny ties while female managers will wear pencil skirts. Additionally, baseball hats have been switched out for tighter-fitting “jockey caps” with smaller peaks. The uniform will premiere at the four McDonald’s locations on the Olympics site before being distributed to all McDonald’s workers in the U.K. In the press release, the vice president of U.K. McDonald’s, who is probably not required to wear a gherkin-green polo, boasted, “If you look good and feel good you will be happier at work and do your job better.” If only McDonald’s had the budget to hire Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant for the sartorial update . . . can you imagine the silk-chiffon batwinged dreses and Vivier flats behind the deep fryer?

Kim’s Bikini Body Secrets!

How she dropped five kilos to get beach beautiful…
Kim’s Bikini, Body, Secrets, Kim Kardashian Though she’s always been known for her generous curves, Kim Kardashian has been making jaws drop on the beaches of Malibu recently with her rocking bikini body. Having dropped five kilos through a combination of healthy eating and workouts, Kim’s famous curves have been toned up and slimmed down, catapulting her to the top of the ‘Best Bikini Body’ polls. Star Style discovers how she did it… Fat jibes The 29-year-old has not always been so proud to show off her awesome body, admitting that as the first girl at school to wear a bra, she hated her famous curves. “I remember crying in the bathtub,” she told Shape magazine. “I took a washcloth, made it hot, put it over my chest and prayed, ‘Please don’t let them grow any bigger. They’re embarrassing me.’” And even as an adult, Kim’s been subjected to nasty jibes about her generous proportions, with fellow reality star, Shanna Moakler cruelly dubbing her a “fat donkey.” “If there’s a picture that’s not perfect, where I have cellulite, then people say I’m big,” says Kim. ”People attack my true size, but the reality is that I look bigger on TV.” Facing the critics While Kim admits she’ll never be super skinny (“I have curves and that’s never going to change”) she resolved to embrace her curves and make the most of her body with healthy lifestyle changes. “The most important thing is not to be shy – work with what you have,” she says. Kim signed on as spokesperson for weight-loss supplement Quicktrim, which she combines with a high-protein low-carb diet. She switched calorie-laden morning frappucinos for oatmeal or fruit, and she snacks on fruit instead of cookies. Hitting the gym Kim has also been hitting the treadmill between three and five times a week to tone up her butt, legs and tum. Detailing her workout regime on her blog, Kim revealed, “I start off with running on the treadmill for about 30 minutes. I run at least three kilometres per workout, then I lift weights for another 30 minutes. I alternate between working on my arms and legs, switching every other workout. I then do a bunch of stomach exercises and then stretch. When I get home, I always do some extra leg lifts, lunges and squats!” Kim’s typical daily diet Breakfast Poached eggs, turkey bacon and fruit Lunch Cobb salad with ranch dressing Snack Sliced apple with one tablespoon of peanut butter Dinner Grilled salmon served with pesto sauce, one cup of brown rice and two cups of broccoli

Top Ten Secrets to Saving Big Money in the Airline Flights

Do you know that some people travel around the country and abroad, for both business and pleasure, and save bundles of money in the process? They do that by using little known ways of really taking advantage of the most popular form of transportation - airline flights. They don't rely on the ever-famous "airfare price-wars". They don't rely on their travel agents to save money while flying. Certainly, you should not dismiss these two methods. The price-wars can work to your advantage. But depending on them too much is a big mistake. 1. Call the airlines. Call the airlines between midnight and 1 a.m. Monday through Friday to get cheaper tickets. Most people never realize that at midnight, airline agents revise and load new fares into their computers. The best fares are just after they have done the updating! 2. Check into other airports other than the main one you use. Many major cities have two airports. Check into surrounding towns and cities so you can compare airfares. You may save hundreds of dollars on your flights. 3. The early bird catches the plane. The earlier you book your flight the more you save. Most special fares have restrictions of 7 to 30 day advance purchase. Usually non-refundable but they can offer deep discounts. On the other hand, there are "last minute" deals too. Visit www.smartliving.com to get emails for last minute deals. 4. Get out of town on Wednesday. Mid-week travel is usually less expensive. If you leave on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and stay over a Saturday night, you can garner terrific savings compared to Friday through Monday when most people fly. Start taking your vacations Wednesday-to-Wednesday or Tuesday-to-Tuesday. You'll save a lot by choosing your departure and arrival dates this way! 5. Buying a one way or split ticket. Let's say you travel from Boston to Dallas. It may be cheaper to get two separate tickets. You could buy one ticket from Boston to Nashville and one from Nashville to Dallas. It all depends on the connecting cities and your airlines hubs. Just tell your agent you are willing to travel out of other airports and connect using regional airports to save money. 6. Open wide. You should look into what is called an "Open-Jaw" ticket. These are used when a traveler is arriving and departing from different cities. One ticket is purchased to cover both cities. Check with your travel agent or airline representative to see if this trick is available instead of two one-way tickets. Compare the price of each. 7. An excellent online service www.sidestep.com You enter destinations and dates and SideStep quickly searches a couple of dozen affiliated regional and international airlines to find the best rates. 8. "Code share". Ask your agent if this flight is a "code-share" flight. That means the same flight is offered by two different airlines. Just copy down the name of the other airline and check into what they are charging. Only one of the airlines is actually operating the flight. The actual operator always offers this flight for less, so book with them. 9. Sign up for the airline newsletters. From weekend getaways to international flight packages the newsletter saves you money on travel and doesn't require that you constantly visit the airline website for the latest offering. 10. The airlines often slash their fares during sluggish travel times. Scan your travel sections in the newspapers and talk to your agent about these low fares

First flight of 747-8 Freighter

First flight of 747-8 Freighter 747-8 First flight Painting a jumbo jet 747-8 Boeing/Bob Schneider Weighing in at more than one million pounds, RC521, the second 747-8 Freighter, took off from Victorville, California. 747-8's one million pound takeoff By Bernard Choi The airplane starts accelerating down the runway. In the flight deck, Captain Paul Stemer feels the weight of the situation. Adrian Butler Boeing/Bob SchneiderBoeing, 747-8, first fligth, Before the flight, Boeing Flight Test pilot Capt. Paul Stemer inspects one of the tires supporting the 747-8 Freighter. "It's a lot of mass, a lot of energy. I have to stay ahead of it." It's up to Capt. Stemer to command RC521, the second 747-8 Freighter, into defying gravity and lifting more than 1 million pounds into the air. It's a feat neither he nor any Boeing Flight Test pilot before him has ever attempted. While the airplane gathers speed, 100 knots, 120, 140, now 160 knots, the amount of available runway quickly evaporates. RC521 still needs to go faster before Capt. Stemer can command the elevator to rotate the airplane, increasing the wing's angle of attack and generating lift. "With only 7,000 feet (2,133 m) of a 15,000-foot (4,572 m) runway remaining, it's obvious the margin of error is small," says Capt. Stemer.

Tom Cruise like a Rock Star

hair rock star new moobie paramount Rock of Ages When it comes to rock 'n' roll bands, the bigger the hair, the bigger the sound, right? That's certainly the case for Tom Cruise, who plays fictional rocker Stacee Jaxx in the film Rock of Ages, out today. Big hair may have added the necessary boost of confidence for him to rock out like he's never done before in his latest role. To gear up for his big rock debut, Tom and the rest of the cast took inspiration from real-life bands, including Poison, Def Leppard and Van Halen. The all-star cast includes Malin Akerman, Alec Baldwin, Diego Boneta, Russell Brand, Bryan Cranston, Julianne Hough and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Tom and the gang will make you want to sing, dance and, most importantly, rock ‘n' roll all night (and party everyday). -life_rock_of_ages_casts_hair_band/323616#ixzz1xsM6hSqk

The Paramount Picture

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the storied Paramount Pictures, the only studio to still call Hollywood (the L.A. neighborhood, not the state of mind) its home. Founded in 1912 as the Famous Players Film Company, it more than lived up to its billing, claiming silent greats such as Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, Gloria Swanson, and Rudolph Valentino, not to mention Cecil B. DeMille, who made all his biblical epics for the studio. With the advent of talkies, and showing a special flair for sophisticated comedy, Paramount added another glittering array of stars to its roster, including Marlene Dietrich, Mae West, Gary Cooper, the Marx Brothers, Bob Hope, and writer-director Preston Sturges. In the postwar years, directors Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, William Wyler, and Jerry Lewis applied their craft at Paramount. By the early 60s, like the other studios, Paramount was running out of steam, until wild man Charlie Bluhdorn bought it, in 1966, ushering in a new golden age under production chief Bob Evans, whose hits included Love Story, the first two Godfathers, and Chinatown. Next up was Barry Diller, who, with the help of Michael Eisner and Jeffrey Katzenberg, turned Paramount into the pre-eminent "high concept" blockbuster factory, releasing cash cows such as the Indiana Jones pictures and a string of hits starring fresh faces such as Tom Cruise and Eddie Murphy. Sumner Redstone's Viacom bought the studio in 1994. Under studio head Sherry Lansing, the company entered yet another new era, producing bigger and riskier hits such as Titanic, Braveheart, and Forrest Gump, all of which won best-picture Oscars. Brad Grey succeeded her in 2005, and he's doing O.K., too, having produced 8 out of Paramount's 10 top-grossing pictures of all time. watch video here http://www.vanityfair.com/video/2012/06/1688035103001 ">

ANOTHER Moms making millions

ANOTHER Moms making millions Cruising to success4 of 7Company: Mobo Crusier Location: Los Angeles Annual sales: $1 million Entrepreneurism runs in Melody Hsieh's blood. Her parents operated an auto parts factory in Taiwan, where she once worked at the age of 8. "I learned early in life that hard work and smart work are the essential ingredients to running a successful business," she said. So after college in 2000, Hsieh decided to start a company, with family money, that sold scooters. By 2003, sales at her ASA Products surged to $3 million. But in the next three years, annual sales quickly plummeted to $300,000. "My mistake was that I had no long-term strategy to build my brand," she said. "I was just pursuing a hot trend, and not paying attention to competition, customer service or marketing." In 2006, she took a hiatus from her company and went back to school for her MBA. In late 2006, she relaunched a new product -- Mobo Cruisers -- a line of three-wheeled cruisers for kids and adults. "This time I applied what I learned in school about marketing, operations and research before I launched the brand," said Hsieh. Today, Mobo Cruisers is sold through Target and Toys "R" Us and expanding into Canada. Hsieh, who's a new mom to her three-month-old son, said she's busier than ever now. "Women can do it. It's hard but you don't have to give up one role for the other," she said. "Have a routine that works for you and stick to it."

Moms making millions

A personal touch Company: I See Me Location: Minneapolis Annual sales: $5 million Maia Haag just had her first baby in 1998 when someone gave her a personalized baby book as a gift. "The proverbial light bulb went off," she said. "My husband and I loved the book but thought we could have done it much better." So while on a six-month maternity leave from her marketing job at General Mills, Haag developed and wrote her own personalized children's book called "My Very Own Name." In the book, whose story is tailor-made for each child, the child's name is incorporated into the storyline and illustrations. Later that year, Haag resigned and started her own firm with money she inherited from her grandmother. Her company originally published 5,000 copies of the book. Today, I See Me! Inc. generates $5 million in annual sales and has published 15 personalized book titles, many of which are sold at Toys "R" Us, Nordstrom and FAO Schwarz. "Children love the idea of a story being about them and [seeing] their name in the illustrations," said Haag. Haag found success as a businesswoman while also being a mom to three children. "What I love about it is the flexibility I have in working from home. I can be around my kids," she said. Not that it's always easy doing business with pre-schoolers around. "I remember being on the phone with a buyer from Nordstrom, standing in the closet while my 5-year-old was knocking on the door," she said. "My kids will always come first. You just have to find the humor in these moments."

Advertising Business Opportunity Reaches New Levels

by: Randy Wilson An Advertising business opportunity on the Internet is just exploding with possibilities. This is one of the most profitable endeavors available in the field of Internet advertising. If you have advertising experience and know even the basics of Internet, you have potential to start your own advertising business on the Internet. There are many areas of the Internet that need to be learned before starting your advertising business opportunity. Multi level marketing, or MLM, is one way of generating advertising and sales at the same time. MLM is a system that allows someone to collect commissions on their own sales as well as on people they recruit under them. This used to be known as pyramid schemes. MLM has become very popular with product sales, helping the organization build wealth by paying commissions on multiple levels. The concept from an advertising point of view is great, the more motivation you have to recruit people to sell your product, the more your product is out there on the market. Some examples of companies that use MLM are nutritional product lines, make up product lines, and home decoration lines. Multi level marketing has been around for years and not likely to go away anytime soon. Focus needs to be clear however on what the drive is for the company. If your focus is only on recruiting people to recruit more people, then your product sales are going to suffer. When your product sales suffer, your business as a whole suffers and then no one wants to be a part of the industry. Keep your focus when dealing with MLM with your advertising business opportunity. Ezines are another emerging way to get a product or service out to the public. Ezines, or electronic magazines, are usually specialized to a certain areas of interest. This is very much like conventional magazines. However, advertising in ezines is low-cost and even occasionally free. Another advertising business opportunity that is wide open. Ezines in themselves will need advertising to get their word out. A perfectly written ezine does no one any good if no one knows that it is out there to be seen. Finding an audience for your ezine may be easier than you think. Make sure when going into ezines that you know your material and that the writing is concise and accurate. SEO, or search engine optimization, is a proven method of advertising on the Internet and a field, which is very much in demand at this time. SEO is a system of writing web content that uses specific key words and phrases that will pull the page up when that keyword or phrase is typed into any of the search engines. Knowing how to effectively use keywords to get a site recognized is critical for small businesses on the web. When you open a search engine such as 'Yahoo!' or 'Google', and type in the phrase Internet advertising, you will get a list of results. Those results are formulated by the words Internet and advertising. Sites that have those two words incorporated consistently throughout the site will come up on the list. These lists are in order by the most hit on sites at the top of this list. Of course, that is where you want your advertising business opportunity clients to be. Educating your self on these concepts and a few more will allow you to start marketing your Internet advertising business. Becoming an Internet business advertising consultant to companies who are looking to expand their presence on the web is a first step in building your reputation and presence in this field. You must have a well-written profile centered on your Internet advertising experience and an up to date resume'. Businesses today are being inundated with new, and sometimes bogus, advertising opportunities and you need to stand out above all those other offers. Keep your presence, online and in the field, professional at all times and make sure you can deliver what you promise. With those things in mind, you should be successful.

Just a day after
the makings of the pregnant thesp's big day—including the gorgeous gown she donned for the occasion. So, what did Barrymore wear as she walked down the aisle? MORE: Drew Barrymore Marries Will Kopelman While we don't have pics of the wedding dress just yet, we do know the 37-year-old actress wore a custom long, white Chanel dress pleated in muslin and organza, created for her by Karl Lagerfeld. The dress, which was accentuated at the waist by a black satin belt, also had flowers embroidered in organza, muslin, tulle and feathers along the skirt of the dress. Barrymore was also wearing Chanel fine jewelry. MORE: Drew Barrymore's Rehearsal Dinner Details! Sources tell E! News that guests enjoyed a pre-ceremony cocktail party on the lawn of Drew's Montecito, Calif., estate before being ushered into the marquee tent for the emotional service, which lasted 45 minutes. The groom's family rabbi, flown in from New York, did the honors. Children of the couple's friends served as flower girls and ring bearers. After the ceremony, Will and Drew took wedding pictures in the garden. For the reception, Drew chose an '80s tribute band since she loves the era and thinks it's the most fun.

Título original: Snow White and the huntsman. País: USA. Año: 2012. Duración: 128 min. Género: Fantástico, acción. Interpretación: Kristen Stewart (Blancanieves), Charlize Theron (reina Ravenna), Chris Hemsworth (Eric, el cazador), Sam Claflin (príncipe William), Bob Hoskins (Muir), Toby Jones (Coll), Nick Frost (Nion), Ian McShane (Beith), Ray Winstone (Gort), Brian Gleeson (Gus). Guion: Evan Daugherty, John Lee Hancock y Hossein Amini; basada en una historia de Evan Daugherty. Producción: Sam Mercer y Joe Roth. Música: James Newton Howard. Fotografía: Greig Fraser. Montaje: Conrad Buff y Neil Smith. Diseño de producción: Dominic Watkins. Vestuario: Colleen Atwood. Distribuidora: Universal Pictures International Spain.
