Bruce Wayne Prefers Two-Button Armani Suits in The Dark Knight Rises
Last month, we learned that James Bond prefers bespoke, two-button Tom Ford suits in the upcoming 007 installment, Skyfall. And today, we learn that the similarly handsome and similarly iconic movie hero Bruce Wayne prefers similarly bespoke, similarly two-buttoned suits, albeit from the customized Giorgio Armani for Bruce Wayne label, in the latest release from the Batman franchise, The Dark Knight Rises. Judging by early stills from each film, Daniel Craig’s British spy (or his costume designer) is fond of tight-fitting formalwear accessorized by a pocket square, a skinny tie, and a limited-edition Omega timepiece. Meanwhile, Wayne (or his costume designer) is partial to a longer, more elegant suit with looser-fitting pants. Armani also outfitted Bale’s co-stars Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine, while Tom Hardy—who plays the film’s villain, Bane—was styled in a far less fashionable facial mask described as “creepy” and “claustrophobic.” Catch both creepy mask and dapper suit when The Dark Knight Rises opens on Friday.
